We are very pleased to offer an exquisite antique Chinese chest, circa early 1920s, which was brought directly from Beijing. This beautifully crafted piece showcases a clean, rectangular silhouette made from Elmwood, featuring meticulously dovetailed joints on the sides. The chest is accented with traditional brass details, including a classic brass medallion that allows the rectangular lid to open, revealing ample storage space within. The chest’s sides are adorned with elegant C-scroll handles, making it easy to move. The natural honey colour of the Elmwood, the intricate movement of the wood grain, and the rich patina add warmth and character to the piece. A fissure along the lid enhances its unique charm, serving as a testament to its age and patina. In great vintage condition and ready to be used for years to come. Please see all attached pictures.
